I live to be naked!

I remember a time when I was so uncomfortable being naked. Even with myself.

It felt wrong. It felt shameful. It felt triggering. It felt way too open and vulnerable.

This is when I wasn’t just uncomfortable being naked physically but also where I was still very uncomfortable in being naked with my emotions, my confusions, my dreams, my desires, and yes my body.

Many years later….
After years of inner work…
After facing my body in the mirror…
After gazing straight to my soul…

I live to be naked!

I choose to do a workshop twice a year where I strip to my birthday suit in front of a few dozen individuals.
I walk around on vacations comfortably naked in my room.
I touch my body with reverence in the shower and in my own bed.

I live to be naked in how I connect within myself and allow myself to truly take inventory of my whole being.

Seeing and sharing my authentic answers with those around me.
Allowing my silly laughter to fill the room
Allowing my tears of sadness to arise on a livestream
Allowing my anger to be spoken and acknowledged
Allowing my body to be seen with all it’s perceived flaws
Allowing others to touch my naked body and soul.

Nakedness is first and foremost an inner game.
Until we are able and willing to love ourselves as we strip ourselves down to our core…

See our light and our dark
Recognize our wounds and holdbacks
Allow ourselves to own our own power

Until we do these things with self we can never be truly naked with another person. True nakedness comes from true vulnerability and authenticity.

It does not come from sharing out of fear or the creation of some forced connective moment. That is insecurity and not authentic nakedness.

When we have first connected with self then we can stand there… hands at our hearts and offer our true naked selves to another. And in this we offer a loving opportunity for others in our lives to get fully naked.

I can remember, years ago, when my new mentor asked me to get naked. Yes, she sat there starring at me and asked me to drop it all….

The self-hated
The insecurities
The old belief systems
The disconnect with my own body

She wanted me to bear all…

And there she stood with a mirror in front of my face and I had to look at the woman in the mirror. Look her in the eyes and get really naked with myself and see the light that was pouring out of my being and also see where I was still constricted.

Clothes on and I was naked as a jay bird!

Today…
I live for the moments where I feel fully naked…

Where I might feel my emotions on my sleeve and feel the vast variety that is flowing through my being. Tears, Laughter, Joy…

Where I feel the fear and yet stand in it anyways

Where I am physically naked in front of many and get to stand in the beauty of this physical body however it is showing up that day.

And I am blessed to get to work with so many beautiful souls each and every day that are learning to be naked too. That aren’t wanting to hide themselves any longer.

It is the rare few in this world that want to truly stand there unarmored and willing to take on the world from a heart-centered and authentic place.

My question to you today is if you are ready to join this rare few?

Are you living naked or are your covering yourself up with excuses, BS, and inauthenticity?
Because this means you aren’t really living.

Are you willing to look yourself in the eyes and see the magic and power that is you beautiful??? Because you are here to be naked. To live. To love. To feel. And to be all of you!
